SX 112

The successes shared with Cantieri Navali Sanlorenzo do not stop! The incredible conclusion of the SX112 shipyard, which took place in record time, is added to the list of projects that have involved our teams and those of the historic shipbuilding company over the years - between Viareggio and La Spezia. In fact, the slowdown due to the lockdown don’t prevented us from setting up the living and crew quarters of this iconic superyacht, which bears the signature of two icons of Made in Italy design, Bernardo Zuccon and Piero Lissoni. The entire group operating on the Viareggio shipyard, thanks to the craftsmanship, the attention to design and the advanced technologies has realized an authentic tailor-made nautical treasure.

The main deck looks like an open space, which creates a visual and functional continuum from stern to bow. The living area, the bar area and one of the dining areas are contiguous and integrated, in perfect harmony between inside and outside. The bow area of the main deck offers a large sundeck that can be transformed into a comfortable dining area. On the lower deck, SX112 features three large cabins and a lounge area with wood panelling and mirrored walls (suitable for converting into an extra cabin with a king size or twin beds), as well as a kitchen connected to the crew quarters. The stairs are the most attractive elements, in perfect Lissoni style. The internal spiral staircase extends over three levels; on the main deck it is enclosed in an evocative transparent oval volume; the stairs are characterized by minimal design and the sobriety of the materials.

The 60th Genoa International Boat Show this year saw the assignment of the “Design Innovation Award”, established to support and encourage the excellence of boating and enhance innovation, technical quality, formal quality and the sustainability of the products present at the show. The international jury (composed of Silvia Piardi, Franco Michienzi, Andrea Pagnin, Justin Ratcliffe, Philip Easthill and with the architect Luisa Bocchietto as president) awarded SX 112 in the SUPERYACHT category (over 24 m) with the following motivation:

“For the formal innovation that distinguishes the shipyard and continues to evolve, proposing distribution research that let enhance the experience of living the sea. For the technical quality of the finishes and the solutions adopted “.
